Recent Wanderings in Chicago

What a gorgeous week in Chicago. Trees and tulips are in bloom, the tourists have arrived, and everyone with a pulse is outside. Here are some photos from the past week: hopefully they’ll encourage you to get out and go somewhere you haven’t been! (Click to make them much bigger.)

Looking west down the Chicago river towards Trump Tower (in postmodern blue) and the Wrigley Building (in French Renaissance white). And the black international-style building on the far right? That’s where Tom Hanks worked as an architect in Sleepless in Seattle.

Downtown, as seen from the Lakeshore Path as it curves around Shedd Aquarium.

A mounted cop and some tourists on Museum Campus, just in front of the Field.
I ran into Anna Davlantes by Lake Michigan.

I’ve said it a thousand times: Canadian Geese are like little tyranosaurs.
